Operational and Development Manager
HOPE for Autism presents an exciting opportunity in further developing a very successful Autism Charity operating within the North Lanarkshire Locality.
We are looking for an individual to take the lead role of Operational and Development Manager and to lead our friendly team. This is a rare opportunity to continue to shape a Third Sector organisation and to lead its direction as it is being evolved.
Hours: Full Time
Contract: 1 year (renewable according to funding availability)
Job Description: The overarching purpose of this role is to help the CEO/Board in shaping HOPE for Autisms’ goals and objectives and agree the strategic plan and to ensure delivery and development of HOPE for Autisms’ services meet with the needs of the local and wider community. To be responsible for the delivery of the Operational/Strategic plan, provide monthly updates to the Board on delivery against the plan and agree adjustments where appropriate.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who enjoys helping others and is looking to be part of a caring team with a holistic approach. You must be an experienced manager with knowledge and understanding of service development and/or community development work. Relevant working experience in developing and managing a team is essential. The ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant supervisory experience in a support environment
- Suitable qualifications in Leadership and Management are desirable
- Good understanding of the issues surrounding people with complex needs
- Experience of legal, regulatory and policy requirements relating to Autism and support service provision
- A commitment to staff and members involvement
- Experience of risk management
- A commitment to positive risk taking within a supported environment
- The ability to effectively and efficiently manage available resources to ensure our children, families and stakeholders receive high quality person-centred support
- Experience developing services
Group Assistant (Staff Pool)
HOPE is in need of staff registered to be employed as Bank Group Assistant staff. These will be reliable and resourceful individuals able to compliment pre-existing staffing numbers in cases where extra staff numbers are required.
Job Description: To provide support and coaching to children and young people on the autistic spectrum both within the youth groups and also in the community based activity groups.
Pay: £9.00 per hour

Volunteer Group Assistant
HOPE is always on the lookout for volunteers looking to engage with our service users through or social groups. Volunteer Group Assistants will work alongside paid Group Assistant staff and Senior Group Development Workers in our daytime and evening groups to support our children and young people.
Job Description: To provide support and coaching to children and young people on the autistic spectrum both within the youth groups and also in the community based activity groups. These Children and Young People are members of HOPE.
