How to support us...

Some suggestions on how you can encourage your employer to support HOPE:

At the heart of our corporate relationships is a belief in mutually beneficial goals. We will work with you to ensure that both business and charitable objectives are met through one or more of the following mechanisms:

• Cause related marketing promotions - Your company and HOPE can benefit equally through initiatives specifically linked to your marketing objectives.
• Corporate sponsorship -
Sponsoring one of our events, public initiatives, or projects can help you reach your target audience.
• Charity of the year -
Adopt HOPE as your company's Charity of the Year and involve your employees in the fun of fundraising.
• Corporate donation -
Corporate donations are a tax-effective way of making a major contribution to our work.
• Payroll giving -
Encourage your employees to make monthly contributions to HOPE and then match or double-match their contributions.
• Secondments of employees -
are an excellent way to develop new skills and motivate your employees while making a real contribution to HOPE.
• Gifts-in-kind -
By donating products or services to HOPE, your company will help us to reduce our costs and therefore spend more on projects.
• Matched employee fundraising -
Match £ for £ the money raised for HOPE by your employees.

How can I fundraise for HOPE?

If you are new to fundraising, it is often best to start with a small event. You may already have an idea of the kind of event
that you might like to do but it is worth bearing in mind the many tried and tested ways of fundraising.

• Sponsored sporting events - such as swimming, cycling, walking or running.
• Social events - like coffee mornings, wine evenings and barbecues can be made into fundraisers.
They can also provide a chance to get your friends and family interested in our work and to swap ideas and information.
• Giving talks - Speak to local groups about a hobby or special interest you might have in aid of HOPE.
• Collections - You can collect almost anywhere but you do need the necessary permission.
• Raffles - Organise a raffle either at your event or at a friend's. Try and get the prizes donated by local shops and businesses.
• Quiz nights - Persuade your local pub or school to run a Quiz Evening where each team's entry fee is donated to HOPE.
• Dress down days - Invite your friends/colleagues to wear casual clothes to school/work and donate £1 to HOPE.
• Dreams and ambitions - Have you always wondered about doing a parachute jump?
Why not combine a lifelong ambition with an opportunity to get sponsored and raise some money for our work.

...and many other ideas!
