Mission
Statement and main goals
Our Mission is to develop specialist services for young people
with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder and those who care for them
in North Lanarkshire and to encourage a better understanding of
the condition.
Our main goals are:
• Confidence
and Self-Esteem: Children with autism will be
more confident, enjoy more life- oopportunities
and have a feeling of self-esteem.
• Social Inclusion: Children will
be better developed socially as they will have had access
to oa programme tailored
to meet their needs. Children with autism and their families
will take a ogreater part
in community life, enabling social inclusion.
• Support and Information: Families
will be better informed and supported. Other self-help
ogroups are set up based
on HOPE’s model of best practice.
• Public Awareness: General public
in North Lanarkshire will have a greater awareness and
ounderstanding of ASD and
how it affects the lives of individuals and families.
• Lobbying: To lobby the relevant
bodies and to influence policy and practice.

Latest news:
SUMMER SESSIONS
All our children’s sessions have now finished for the
Summer holidays and resume on the 16th of August 2010 – our office
is still open so please contact the HOPE centre if you have any
queries or if you are not sure when your child’s group resumes.
NEW STAFF MEMBER
HOPE is delighted to welcome
Dianne Murray who has taken the post of
Development Manager. Dianne has lots of experience working
with voluntary organisations. More details of Dianne are
